A Journey Through Sabbaths Lost

Why do we waste the Sabbath? The intention of this book is neither to preach nor to shame, and this is not a scholarly religious book. Rather, A Journey Through Sabbaths Lost explores many of the events that get in the way of our enjoying this day of rest and introspection.

Take this insightful, prophetic, wistful and often humorous and light hearted adventure through the events causing lost Sabbaths. Questions are raised. Why do we so often end up doing our home projects on the Sabbath, and which aspects of home ownership rob us of this special day?

Sometimes, we are forced to respond to a deed that is thrust upon us, such as when the roof leaks during a stormy weekend or we are invaded by vermin. At times, we thrust the deed upon ourselves, such as installing outside lights, fixing creaky floors, cleaning and restoring walls after a child’s artwork, or purchasing a new furniture set. Delve into this book for a seventeen chapter journey with hope for the future where the Sabbath day can be held precious.
